National Guardian’s Office: New phone line

We’re pleased to announce that, from today (1 October 2020), the NGO has its own phone line, which will be available for everyone to use if they need to speak directly with the office. We have taken over front-line call handling from CQC’s National Customer Service Centre. This is in line with our priorities for 2020-21 around improving the office’s offer of support and guidance.

The new number is: 0191 249 4400. Our previous contact number (0300 067 9000) will no longer be operational from today.

The phone line will be available between 10am – 2pm on Monday – Friday, but you can always email us outside of these hours if you need to.

As we are working remotely, you may hear background noise when you call us, such as children or pets. We’d like to thank you for your understanding during this time.

To ensure your query gets to the right person, we might share the information you give us with colleagues in the office. Please let us know when you contact us if you don’t want us to do this.
