Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the National Guardian’s Office is working remotely. As we are unable to access the office, we are not able to receive any post at this time.
The best way to get in touch with us is to email email@example.com, or phone us on 0191 249 4400.
As we are working remotely, you may hear background noise when you call us, such as children or pets. We’d like to thank you for your understanding during this time.
To ensure your query gets to the right person, we might share the information you give us with colleagues in the office. Please let us know if you don’t want us to do this.
You can also follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn for further up dates.

Resources for Freedom to Speak Up Guardians
Freedom to Speak Up Introductory Sessions
Due to restrictions resulting from the current pandemic, the National Guardian’s Office is delivering virtual Freedom to Speak Up Guardian Introductory Sessions. These sessions last 4 hours and cover the fundamental principles of FTSU and the Guardian role itself.
They are open to NHS trusts and foundation trusts, national non-provider organisations, arms-length bodies, independent sector and primary care organisations.
To register for this training, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
This session is designed for those newly appointed to a guardian role and are not suitable for those in FTSU support roles, for example, champions and ambassadors, who should liaise with the Freedom To Speak Up Guardian in their organisation about obtaining appropriate support. Existing guardians do not need to attend these sessions but should await the launch of our e-learning Foundation Training.
We are developing our training process and material to make training in the future more accessible and broad enough to meet the needs of the expanding network of organisations that are adopting Freedom to Speak Up Guardian arrangements. We will share more information with you when we can.
While we are working on this, we are also offering stepped up support for people wishing to take on the guardian role including access to a range of resources, support calls, and links to local sources of support. We are offering a 1-2-1 introductory call with a member of the team to offer support and guidance. If this is something you would like to arrange please contact email@example.com.
